Bio
Alexandra Parks is responsible for strategic leadership in developing and managing partnerships with an array of stakeholders, including nonprofit organizations, government agencies, academic institutions, healthcare providers, and community-based organizations. As Senior Vice President of Partnerships, Parks oversees a diverse portfolio of partners who are working to address smoking and vaping through education, community engagement, prevention and cessation programs, and campaigns. Parks also oversees Truth Initiative’s Tobacco/Vape-Free College Program, providing strategic direction and guidance and aligning efforts with organizational goals and objectives.
Parks brings more than two decades of public health experience, including working with local, state, and national organizations. She joined Truth Initiative in 2004 as a bilingual counselor and later took on several different roles including Program Manager of Training and Technical Assistance, Director of Program Development, and Managing Director of Community Engagement. She also led the development of our Vaping: Know the truth and Prescription Drug Safety: Know the truth curriculums.
Prior to Truth Initiative, Parks worked in the mental health field as a program manager for Project Resilience. She received her graduate degree in health promotion management and undergraduate degree in Sociology from Marymount University. She is a certified health education specialist as designated by The National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. and holds various certifications, including a Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate from Georgetown University.
