Truth Initiative Training FAQs
Thank you for your interest in receiving specialized training from Truth Initiative! Before you submit, here are some of the most commonly asked questions we’ve received. If you can’t find an answer to your question, reach out at [email protected] for an answer and recommendations.
How do I register for the training?
Please click on the “Request a Training’ tab under the Get Involved tab on the Truth Initiative website. Please complete all required fields on the form and click submit. Someone from the Youth Leadership Development will be in touch with you shortly thereafter to set up an initial call to discuss your training request further.
Am I immediately approved for the training once I submit the form?
Submitting the training request does not guarantee a training. An initial call will be set up to discuss your training request further and to assess training requirements.
What are the trainings like?
Our training is designed to be fun, interactive, and skills-based- it’s not a classroom, it's a training space built for engagement. Participants can expect small group discussions, team-building exercises, and social justice based activities. When possible our training team will draw on local examples and issues relevant to the community being trained. Training content and formats are generally set but can be adjusted in a few places as needed.
How long do the trainings generally last?
Our team can modify the training based on your specific needs, but trainings typically last between 45 mins to 1 hour.
What equipment will I need? Do I need to have internet access?
You will need both a laptop or phone with video conferencing capabilities along with internet access. All trainings are currently being implemented on the Zoom Conferencing Platform which requires an internet connection, a compatible operating system, a supported browser for web start, and processor requirements. Please review Zoom’s help center for more information.
Are these courses approved to meet training requirements for my professional development? Will I earn CEUs?
Truth Initiative is not an accredited authorized provider of continuing education and training credits.
